Honoring a Legacy

The Ebenezer Foundation connects Ebenezer Senior Living with our generous donors. When our founder, Caroline Unhjem, went home to Norway in 1938, she sent back a donation that became the beginning of our endowment fund. Since then, Ebenezer continues to be a nonprofit organization, serving 10,000+ seniors across Minnesota and beyond.

Other Ways To Give

Future gifts come to us through an estate plan. This can include bank accounts, life insurance, retirement accounts, or property. To make this type of donation, you’ll need our legal name and federal ID:

Life income gifts, or gift annuities, are unique. In exchange for a gift of cash, securities, or property, the Ebenezer Foundation will issue ongoing payments to someone the donor chooses. Typically, it’s the donor themselves and/or their spouse. However, it can be anyone, like a child or a friend. The payment recipients must be at least 60 years of age, and the minimum gift must be $10,000.

Endowed gifts are our promise to remember you and to continue the work that was important to you. The minimum gift to set up an endowed fund is $50,000. This can be made as a distribution from the donor’s estate, a cash pledge, or a combination.

Annual Fundraiser Event

Every year, The Ebenezer Foundation hosts a reception for partners, donors, and community members. Join us for an evening to learn how we continue to empower older adults to lead healthier, more vibrant lives. Proceeds from the evening support our Lifelong Learning program that provides resources to engage the mind, body, and spirit.
